Setting up Research Labs on your campus
Cloud Computing for Computer Science
Project Proposals for awards & grants from AICTE and UGC

Cloud Lab is flexible, scientific infrastructure for research on the future of cloud computing. Researchers can utilize CloudLab to build their own clouds, experimenting with new architectures that will form the basis for the next generation of the world's computing platforms.

Cloud computing has changed the way we work, the way we communicate online, even the way we relax at night with a movie. But even as "the cloud" starts to cross over into popular parlance, the full potential of the technology to directly impact science, medicine, transportation, and other industries has yet to be realized.

To help investigate and develop this promising cloud computing future,we help you setup a cloud computing testbed lab for cloud architecture and applications. This lab will enable the academic research community to develop and experiment with novel cloud architectures and pursue new, architecturally-enabled applications of cloud computing, specifically for the computer science domain.

Cloud computing refers to the practice of using a network of remote servers to store, manage and process data, rather than a local server or a personal computer. In recent years, cloud computing has become the dominant method of providing computing infrastructure for Internet services. While most of the original concepts for cloud computing came from the academic research community, as clouds grew in popularity, industry has driven their design and development.

Having a cloud lab on your campus helps you attract research oriented students, superior faculty and also help you convert your lab into a profit making division.

Big Data & Data Mining Lab
Project Proposals for awards & grants from AICTE and UGC

Big Data Lab’s research mission is to identify, engineer and evaluate innovative technologies that address current and future data-intensive challenges.

We now have the ability to collect and acquire digital information at an unprecedented rate across practically all aspects of our life including healthcare, financial transactions, social interactions, education, energy usage, transportation, environmental monitoring and so on.  "Big Data" is about harnessing all of this digital information by combining and analyzing it in completely new ways to make better predictions and ultimately, better decisions.

Over the next decade Big Data has the potential to profoundly change the way we live, work and play.  Big Data also introduces unique challenges when it comes to managing and protecting personal privacy. Big Data privacy issues are complex, introducing a host of ethical, legal, policy and technical questions.  How do we build on Big Data’s potential for good, while maintaining essential privacy protections?  And, how do we design future technologies, policies, and practices to get that balance right for society?

BigData labs at Engineering Colleges help widely for research to demonstrate how organizations can leverage data in the future, including how we collect, manage, and use personal information, from setting appropriate policies to demonstrating systems that can implement it in practice.

Data mining tasks include prediction, classification, association rule mining, clustering, anomaly detection, ranking, etc. Related fields are databases, machine learning, statistics, algorithms, pattern recognition, bioinformatics, etc.

Our current research interests include Big Data Analysis on the Cloud, Social Network Analysis, Recommendation and Prediction, Support Vector Machines, Integration of Database and Machine Learning, and Biomedical Informatics.

Business Intelligence & Data Visualization Lab
Project Proposals for awards & grants from AICTE and UGC

Visualization transforms data into concise dashboards that makes business problem & solution visually obvious. It helps organizations find insights quickly, based on cognitive research, and guide them towards actionable decisions.

Data visualization is the presentation of data in a pictorial or graphical format. For centuries, people have depended on visual representations such as charts and maps to understand information more easily and quickly. As more and more data is collected and analyzed, decision makers at all levels welcome data visualization software that enables them to see analytical results presented visually, find relevance among the millions of variables, communicate concepts and hypotheses to others, and even predict the future.

Because of the way the human brain processes information, it is faster for people to grasp the meaning of many data points when they are displayed in charts and graphs rather than poring over piles of spreadsheets or reading pages and pages of reports.

Interactive visualization - Interactive data visualization goes a step further, moving beyond the display of static graphics and spreadsheets to using computers and mobile devices to drill down into charts and graphs for more details, and interactively (and immediately) changing what data you see and how it is processed.

Incubation Centers
Robotics, Web and Mobile Applications, Cloud

We have success stories of our innovations taken up by VCs. Success stories where the app stores created by the students are widely used. Success stories where the management has implemented the innovations in their own campus.

We establish incubation and EDC cells that promote entrepreneurial skills and business ideas among students. We provide incubators in four areas: robotics, web designing, mobile application development and cloud. The companies are profit making companies. They hire student interns to work for them. Besides space, the incubatees need to be given telephone, workstation, internet facility, common infrastructure for holding meetings and workshops. They are provided with net working opportunities, technical and non-technical mentoring and access to labs.

The mission of incubators is to:

 - Educate the next generation of technology entrepreneurs

 - Create successful technology ventures and

 - Connect the college with organizations.
